Doris Brand

Mrs. Doris Jane Brand, age 68 of McDonough, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 at a private health care center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 P.M. Sunday, January 11, 2009 from the Barrett Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland . The Rev. Steve Hill and Rev. Jerry Weaver will officiate. Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Saturday at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Mrs. Brand was born in White County to the late Robert and Janie Barrett Bruce. She was preceded in death by her brothers Kenny and Larry Bruce and sister Barbara Hitchcock. Mrs. Brand was a homemaker and a member of Westridge Baptist Church in McDonough, GA.

Survivors include her husband Louis Brand, McDonough; daughter and son-in-law Cynthia M. and Adam Dumas, Robertsdale, AL; grandchildren Adam Jr., Caleb, and Zoe Dumas, all of Robertsdale, AL; brothers Tommy Bruce, Alabama; Bobby Bruce, Jonesboro; Ronnie Bruce, McDonough; Jimmy Bruce, McDonough; sister Elizabeth George, Utah; and a niece Vicki Hitchcock, Fountain, FL.
