Raymond "Pete" Pierce

Mr. Raymond "Pete" Pierce, age 71 of Cumming, formerly of Atlanta, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 following an extended illness. Pete was well known as an avid pool player.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years Norma Thompson Pierce of Cumming; children David and Gina Ferguson of Newnan, Derrick Pierce of Cumming, Candra and Dwayne Berrong of Watkinsville, Ryan and Tina Pierce of Cumming and Dietmar Doehring, Jr. of Woodstock; 15 grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law Tommy and Dianne Pierce of Loganville, Bobby and Edith Pierce of Smyrna and Jimmy and Barbara Pierce of Dahlonega; sisters and brother-in-law Barbara & Tom Gaines of Lawrenceville and Dorothy Griffin of Jonesboro and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 17th at 1:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steve Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Pete's memory to Embracing Hospice, c/o American Hospice Foundation, 3180 Presidential Drive, Atlanta, GA 30340.
