Winnie Mae (Sears) Peck

Winnie Mae (Sears) Peck, age 94, resident of Gainesville, GA, passed to her eternal rest Friday, January 16, 2009. She was a member of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. She had a love for the Lord and a passion for sewing, canning, baking, taking care of family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Peck is preceded in death by her parents, James and Molly (Smith) Sears; brothers, John, A.J. and J. C. Sears; sisters, Rosa Lee Truelove, Elsie, Cassie and Montine Sears; children, Randolph, Linda and Larry Peck; grandchildren, Scotty Nations, Andrew Cheek, Gregory P. Ferguson, Jimmy Peck; and sons-in-law, Roy Campbell, Doyle Bennett and James Nations.

Mrs. Peck is survived by her daughters, Mary Elizabeth Nations Phillips, Charlotte, NC, Lillian Attaway, Dallas, TX, Gladys Campbell, Dorothy Wehunt, Margaret Bennett, Pat Ferguson and Brenda Cheek, all of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law, Carolyn & Harold White, Gainesville, 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 17, 2009 from 2 â
