Ronnie Grizzle

Ronnie Winfred Grizzle, age 48, of Gainesville went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2009 following a sudden illness.



Mr. Grizzle was born December 22, 1960 in Gainesville, GA. He lived all his life in Hall County. He was the son of Junior Winfred Grizzle and Ila Mae Smith Grizzle. Mr. Grizzle was an Associate Pastor at Oakwood Church of God where he was instrumental in designing the sanctuary and other new additions of the church. Mr. Grizzle taught the adult Sunday school class and trained workers for the church. He was a worship leader and was an advocate in visiting the sick. Ronnie loved Oakwood Church of God where he gave much of his time and services for the work of the Lord.



Mr. Grizzle was preceded in death by two children.



Mr. Grizzle is survived by his wife of 21 ½ years, Tammy Grizzle of Gainesville, son, Kyle Grizzle of Gainesville, parents Junior and Ila Mae Grizzle of Gainesville, GA, brother and Sister-in-law Pastor Michael and Angela Grizzle of Gainesville, GA, sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Steve Lott of Humble, TX, Lisa and Ricky Marlow of Gainesville, GA, Angie and Mark Vandiver of Lula, GA, father-in-law and mother-in-law Grady and Linda Roberts of Gainesville, GA, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Janet and Jack Crowder of Gainesville, GA, Christy and Scott Cramer of Dawsonville, GA, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Joey and Connie Roberts of Gainesville, GA, Freddy and Teresa Roberts of Gainesville, GA. He was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be held at Oakwood Church of God on Wednesday January 21, 2009 at 2:00pm with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Michael Grizzle, Reverend Mark Vandiver, Reverend Jerry Reynolds, and Reverend Zach Watson will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday and Tuesday, January 19th and 20th, 2009 from 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
