Betty Blanche Boone Abbott

Mrs. Betty Blanche Boone Abbott, age 77, of Cumming, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009. A foster parent for many years, Mrs. Abbott was a member of the Church of Christ in Ripley, OH. She was a lover of gardening and birds and enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include her husband, John Abbott of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Gail Hall of Dahlonega; daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Joseph Bruce of Cumming; grandchildren, Jonathan and Rhonda Hall of Cumming, Matthew Bruce of Alpharetta, Christa Bruce of Cumming and Candice and Eric Burger of Alpharetta, Amanda and Jason Holt of Marietta; great grandson, Ethan; sisters, Ruth Herrmann and Thea Goecke, both of Ripley, OH, Pat Pyles of Maysvilles, KY, Diane Boone of Ripley; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Regina Boone of Georgetown, OH; step-sons, Steven and Tabby Abbott of Dawsonville and Stanley and Gwinn Abbott of Canton. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 23, at 12:30 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Eubanks officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellijay.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
