Bertie Allene McBrayer

Mrs. Bertie Allene McBrayer, age 88 and life long resident of Forsyth County, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009. Mrs. McBrayer was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband W. A. McBrayer, two daughters Juanita McBrayer and Ida Lou McBrayer, son Dean McBrayer and a great grandchild Lucas McBrayer.

Survivors include her children Doris Smith of Dawsonville, Eva and Winford Bennett of Dawsonville, Betty and Clendon Hamby of Cumming, Calvin McBrayer of Cumming, Charles McBrayer of Buford, Carroll McBrayer of Cumming, Becky McBrayer of Cumming and Delores Bennett of Cumming; 29 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 26th at 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ruel Martin, Rev. Dennis Bottoms and Rev. Scott Sorrells officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sunday from 11:30 am until 9:00 pm.
