Carlton Butler

Mr. Carlton Butler, age 58, of Murrayville, GA died Saturday January 31, 2009 at the Northside Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, GA.

Mr. Butler was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was a retired painter and was of the Baptist faith.

He was the son of the late William D. Butler and Lou Dell Clements Butler and was also preceded in death by his son, Shawn Butler; 2 infant brothers; brother, Johnny Butler; and sisters, Betty Reed and Jewell Boulware.

Carlton is survived by his Wife, Pam Butler, Murrayville, GA; Brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Jean Butler, Dahlonega, GA, and Jimmy and Donna Butler, Dahlonega, GA; Sisters and brother-in-law, Joyce Frye, Cumming, GA, and Dean and Walter Duran, Gainesville, GA. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Butler are scheduled for 2 PM Monday Feb. 2, 2009 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev. Eddie Mounce and Rev. Bo Robinson will officiate.

Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Dahlonega.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 7 PM until 9 PM, all day on Sunday, and again on Monday until the time of service.
