John Henderson Gregory, Jr.

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. John Henderson Gregory, Jr., age 73, of Pendergrass, GA, who passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Mr. Gregory, born in Bluefield, West Virginia, was a son of the late, John H. Gregory, Sr. and the late, Letha Mae Russell Gregory. He worked as a truck driver with Marten Transport Service; and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War serving with the 82nd Airborne. Mr. Gregory was preceded in death by his daughter: Sandra Shephard; and brother: Kermit Gregory.

Survivors include his wife: Linda Pruitt Gregory of Pendergrass. Sons: Robert Gregory of Charleston, SC, Tommy Pruitt, Ricky Pruitt, Tony Pruitt all of Pendergrass; and John H. Gregory III of Phoenix, AZ. Daughters: Nancy Gregory, Debbie Geiger, and Tammy Larson all of Phoenix, AZ. Sisters: Gloria King and Ruth Wright both of Orlando, FL; Joyce Shrader of Bluefield, WV. Thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Friday, February 6, 2009 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home.
