Sabrina Jill Payne

Sabrina Jill Payne, age 45 of Cornelia and formerly of Clarkesville, passed away February 09, 2009, at Heritage Healthcare of Toccoa following an extended illness.

Born in Habersham County on November 23, 1963, she was the daughter of Howard and Barbara Terrell Payne. Miss Payne was a member of Habersham Baptist Church and was a 1982 graduate of Rabun County High School. She enjoyed walking, crossword puzzles, traveling and spending quality time with her family. Miss Payne was musically inclined and loved animals, especially cats.

Surviving are parents, Howard and Barbara Terrell Payne of Clarkesville; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Raymond and Evelyn Payne of Cornelia; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Pete Mangano of Marriottsville, MD; also surviving are three nephews, one niece, one great-niece, two great nephews, one aunt and one uncle.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 12, 2009 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Chad Payne and Rev. Matt Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Habersham Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8pm on Wednesday. The family is at the residence of brother, Raymond Payne, 291 Pine Grove Road, Cornelia, GA 30531. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to United Hospice, 750 South Enota Drive, Suite 202, Gainesville, GA 30501.
