Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Samuel Donald Fisher Sr., age 75 of Cleveland. Mr. Fisher passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 17, 2009 from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Joey Pritchett officiating. Interment will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2009 from the Hampton National Cemetery in Hampton,VA.
Mr. Fisher was born in Jepp, Kentucky on March 22, 1933 to George Fisher and Empsie Bray Fisher. He served with honor in the United States Navy aboard the USS Nanatahala. He retired from the Seqouia Nuclear Power Plant in Chattanooga, Tenn where he was a Pipefitter. He was a member of the Eagles, Elks, VFW and the Local #719 Fort Lauderdale Pipefitters and Plumbers Union
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fisher was preceded in death by his son, Donald Fisher Jr,; sister, Dorothy Wyatt and aunt, Gracie Dobson
He is survived by his companion, Wanda Wilkinson, Cleveland; daughters, Donna Marie Depathis, North Lauderdale, Florida and Debra Lynn Williams, Zebulon, N.C. and sister, Faye Patterson of Newport News, VA.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 16, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM
