Elbert (Bud) Evans, Jr.

Elbert (Bud) Evans, Jr., age 71, of Paradise Valley Road, Cleveland, GA passed away Friday, February 27, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 2, 2009 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Harold Evans and Reverend Charlie Buchanan will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, 2009 and Sunday, March 1, 2009 from 12-6PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Evans was born October 6, 1937 in Dawson County, GA to the late Elbert Astor Evans and Ethel V. Gee Evans. He lived in Cleveland and was a retired electrician. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his daughter, Candy Evans.

Mr. Evans is survived by his wife, Velma Evans of Cleveland; daughters, Kathleen Workman of Clermont, Virginia Ann Self of Cleveland, and Joy Davis of Clermont; daughter and son-in-law Danny and Lynn Evans of Cleveland; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters; and 5 brothers.
