Raymond Hubert Bennett

Obituary Date: Wednesday, March 4, 2009
Mr. Raymond Hubert Bennett, age 82 of Cumming, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009. He was a member and the oldest deacon of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Bennett served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his sister Frances Mayfield and a brother Kenneth Bennett.



Survivors include his wife of 61 years Louise Bennett; daughters and sons-in-law Kathy and Cleve Castleberry, Kelly and David Maier and Kristy and Richard Wheeler all of Cumming; grandchildren Scott and Amber Castleberry, Karla and Greg Turner, Jamie Castleberry, Jason Castleberry, Bailey, Jordan and Kylie Maier and Chess, Riley and Bentley Wheeler; great grandchildren Kaitlin and Hayden Turner and Ella Beth and Landon Castleberry; brothers and sister-in-law Clifton Bennett and Donnie and Charlotte Bennett; sisters and brother-in-law Betty Jean Combs, Martha and Tommy Wood, Brenda Hendricks and Beverly Bennett; sister-in-law Helen Nix; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.



Funeral services will be held Friday, March 6th at 2:00pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Wilkie and Rev. Vernie Worley officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Thursday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and Friday from 9:00 am until time of service.
