Mary O. Huckleberry, age 86 of Hoschton, GA, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 after an extended illness. Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Melwood Cemetery, Stone Mountain, GA. Rev. Don Wade will officiate. The Family will receive friends on Friday, March 20, 2009 from 6-9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to Compassionate Hospice Foundation 2565 Thompson Bridge Rd., Gainesville, GA 30501. Mrs. Huckleberry is survived by Children, Charles J. Huckleberry, Jr. and wife, Beth, Tucker, GA; Elaine Huckleberry, Birmingham, AL, and Paul Huckleberry and wife, Lisa, Hoschton, GA; Grandchildren, Jenny Burge, Amy Vickrey, Zachary Huckleberry and Reid Huckleberry; Great Grandchildren, Lydia Burge, Bill Burge, Libby Vickrey and Collin Vickrey; Sisters, June Christian, VA, Carole Burress, OH; Sister and Brother In-law, Violet and Claude Hampton, KS; Brothers and Sisters In-law, Victor and Betty Ann Christian, TN, Philip and Kay Christian, NC; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mrs. Huckleberry was a native of Newhall, WV and had lived in the Atlanta area for the past 50 years. She was a veteran of the US Army where she served as a nurse.
