Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Robert Michael Jackson, age 54 of Cleveland. Mr. Jackson passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009 at his residence following a sudden illness.
Private graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, March 22, 2009 from the Cleveland Cemetery with Pastor David Wright officiating.
Mr. Jackson was born on February 26, 1955 in Hall County to Dale Jackson and Peggy Wilson. He attended both White County Schools as the Seventh Day Adventist Academy. He spent almost twenty years in law enforcement, working for both the Hall County Sheriff's Department and Lee Arrendale Correctional facility.
He was preceded in death by his step-brother, Tony Wilson.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Dale and Lorene Jackson, Gainesville; mother and step-father, Peggy and Udah Bhate, Birmingham, Alabama; step-brother, Josh Bhate, Birmingham, Alabama; step-sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita and Jessie Gillespie, Gainesville; Brenda and Charles Gignilliat of Hiawassee; as well as a host of cousins, additional relatives and many friends.
The family has requested that flowers be omitted and memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
