Susie Armour Wiley Stancil

Susie Armour Wiley Stancil, age 66 of Cornelia, passed away Wednesday, April 08, 2009, at Habersham County Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Born in Hall County on July 24, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Pauline Pittman Armour. She was a retired seamstress and member of Living Mision United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Oliver.

Surviving are husband, Michael E. Stancil of Cornelia; daughter, Nancy Wiley Wade of Cornelia; sister, Thelma Brock of Alto; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth & Fred Couch of Alto and Alma & Dan Crane of Lula; brothers, James Armour of Alto; brothers and sisters-in-law, J. B. & Clara Mae Armour and L. D. & Genell Armour all of Alto; granddaughter, Wendy Wade; great grandchildren, Austin Wade, Cassy Speed and Chassity Speed; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, April 11, 2009, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Bill Trotter and Rev. Woodrow Hix officiating. Interment will follow in Living Mission United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Friday. The family is at the residence.
