Russell Knaus

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Russell David Knaus, age 76 of Cleveland. Mr. Knaus passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Knaus was born on May 2, 1932 in Miami, Florida to Jess Knaus and Ruth Flora Knaus. Most of his life, Mr. Knaus farmed and worked as a weaver, which he was well known for in the community. He moved to White County in 1989 from Homestead, Florida where he and his family had lived for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hess Knaus, Cleveland; son, Robert Knaus, Bahamas; daughters and sons in law, Faith & Wes Killingsworth, Cleveland; Amy & Gordon Jenkins, Cleveland; Jenny & John Hufford also of Cleveland.

Brothers, Ray Knaus, Homestead, Fl.; Donald Knaus, Knob Noster, MO.; sisters, Vera Brubaker, Waynesboro, PA. and Mary Sue Mero of Knob Noster, MO.

Grandchildren, Megan, Jed, Mindy and Tess Killingsworth, Sidney Jenkins, Katie, Miles, Tabitha, Elizabeth and Sarah Hufford

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30AM, Sunday, April 26, 2009 from the Blue Ridge Old German Baptist Brethren Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM
