Ruth Taylor Welch

Funeral services for Ruth Taylor Welch, age 82, of Mt. Airy, will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at 11:00 AM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville. Rev. Guy Williamson will officiate with burial to follow the service in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Welch passed away Saturday morning at Habersham Home.

A life long resident of Habersham County, Ms. Welch was born on April 16, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Payton Land and Annie Mae Ramey Taylor. Ms. Welch was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She retired on May 1, 1991 from Habersham County Medical Center. Ms. Welch began working at the hospital on June 3, 1968 in the laundry department and retained that position for her entire employment of 23 years. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Mae Taylor.

Ms. Welch is survived by daughter and son in law Annie and Larry Kimsey of Mt. Airy, brother and sister in law Ray and Peggy Taylor of Clarkesville, sisters Vera Hammonds of Memphis, Tennessee and Ora Sullivan of Dallas, Georgia, sister and brother in law Adron and Henry â
