Nora Lee Hunnicutt Queen

Nora Lee Hunnicutt Queen, 83, of Mountain City, Georgia, passed away on Sunday May 10, 2009 in Hendersonville, NC.

She was born in Rabun County, GA and was the daughter of the late Wesley and Cary Hunnicutt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Roy Eugene Holcomb and a daughter, Lottie Vernett.

Nora is survived by her loving husband, J.B. Queen of the home; sons, Andy Queen and his wife Roxanna of Hendersonville, NC; Jeff Queen of Denver, CO; daughter, Rebecca A. Queen Spitz and husband Bruce of Mountain City, GA; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was a lifelong resident of Rabun County, a member of Blue Heights Baptist Church and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home on Thursday, May 14, 2009 from 6 PM to 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Blue Heights Baptist Church on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 11 AM with Rev. Gabe Southards and Rev. Tim Hunnicutt officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Heights Cemetery.
