Myrtle Clark Conner

Mrs. Myrtle Clark Conner, 80 of Mt. Vernon Road, Gainesville died Tuesday May 19, 2009 at her residence.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Conner was the daughter of the late Ford and Lola Whelchel Clark. She along with her late husband owned and operated Henry Lee Conner Grocery on Mt. Vernon Road for a number of years, she also drove a School Bus for the Hall County School System for over 10 years. Mrs. Conner was a member of the Lanier Shrinettes and the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Survivors include her Daughter; Kathy Conner, Gainesville; her loving poodles, Casper and K.C.; Sister, Ruby Clark, Gainesville; Sister-in-law; Texie Mae Clark, Gainesville and Brother-in-law; Robert Johnson, Gainesville. Special Caregiver, Jackie Bush, Gainesville. A number of neices, nephews, great neices and great nephews, and great great neices and great great nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday May 21, 2009 at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. The Rev. Steve Baker and the Rev. Verner London will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 3:30 p.m. until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 20, 2009.
