Edith Elder

Edith Elder age 87 of Flowery Branch, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 17, 2009 at Willow Wood Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Phil Carpenter will officiate.

Mrs. Elder was born August 28, 1921 in Oconee, South Carolina to the late Venuard Harden and Marie Willis Harden. She served in the Navy during WWII and was retired from U.S. Department of Agricultural. Mrs. Elder was a member of Chicopee Baptist Church.

Mrs. Elder is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Karen Ann & Allen Sayler of Chicopee, two granddaughters, Stephanie and Jennifer Sayler both serving in Japan for active duty, two brothers, Eugene Harden of Gainesville and Herman Harden of Chicopee, sister, Hazel Reat of Mt. Vernon, Texas and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
