Loy Russell Sutton

Mr. Loy Russell Sutton age 83 of Cleveland passed away May 26, 2009 at North East Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Sutton was born on November 28, 1925 to the late Walter H. Sutton and Annie Millbury Helton. Mr. Sutton was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church, American Legion and the Gideons.

Survivors include: His wife, Eunice Sutton of Cleveland, his children, Neal Sutton of Cleveland, Shirley Blackburn of Cleveland, and Richard Sutton of Fort Lauderdale. Roger and Cathy Blackburn of Cleveland, Joyce and F.M. Satterfield of Dahlonega. His sisters, Edith Ledford of Cleveland, Louise Fields of Dahlonega, Estelle Dillard of Cleveland, and brother J.L Sutton of Dahlonega. Survivors also include six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday May 28, 2009 at Town Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Dean Bryant, Rev. Casey Robinson and Rev Phillip Robinson will officiate. Internment will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-9 on Wednesday at the funeral home.
