Fred Troglin

Mr. Fred Troglin, age 96, of Dahlonega, Ga. died May 27, 2009 at the Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega, Ga.

Fred was born in Gilmer County, Ga. He was a retired Air Force Veteran with 22 years of service. He served in WWII and Korea. He was also retired from Pan Am Airlines. He lived in Melbourne, Florida for 49 years before moving to Dahlonega in 1986. Fred was a member and deacon at Bethlehem Baptist Church.

He was the son of the late W.M. Troglin and Jane Cain Troglin. He was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, James Luther Troglin, Arthur Troglin, Ella Troglin, Velva Pritchett, John Troglin, Dollie Price Davis, W. Edward Troglin, Herman Troglin, Pearl Mullinax, Lillian Dutton, and Joseph D. Troglin.

Mr. Troglin is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy McDevitt; Dahlonega, Ga., Linda and Jim Guthrie, Lawrenceville, Ga.; sons and daughters-in-law, Fred M. Troglin, Melbourne, Florida, David and Georgann Troglin, Kansas City, Mo., Tom and Grace Troglin, Bossier City, Louisiana; sister, Florence Wingo, Dahlonega; brothers, William M. Troglin, Atlanta, Ga., Louie Troglin, Mableton, Ga. 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday May 30, 2009 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dahlonega. Rev. Michael Rodgers and Rev. George Thomas will officiate.

The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 PM until 8 PM.
