Evans Funeral Home announces the death of
Mr. Thomas E. Roberts, age 78, of Athens, who passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009. Mr. Roberts was born on July 18, 1930 in Jefferson, a son to the late Bill and Pearl T. Roberts. He was a truck driver and was a member of the Living Word Worship Center.

He was survived by his wife, Faye Roberts, Athens, daughters Tracy Roberts and Viola Brookshire, both if Ila; sons, Bill Roberts, Decatur, Lewis Roberts, Statham, Lamar Roberts, Athens, Rodney Roberts, Jefferson; sister, Betty Ann Hardy, Athens; brother, Buddy Roberts, Winder; 7 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. William Whitfield officiating. The visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
