Ruth Peck Kidd

Mrs. Ruth Peck Kidd, age 85 entered into rest June 29, 2009
surrounded by her family at the Northeast Georgia Medical
Center.

Ruth was born December 4, 1923 in Lumpkin County to Estelle
and Charlie Peck. She graduated from the University of
Georgia and North Georgia College. Ruth taught school for
40 years in Georgia Public Schools primarily in Lumpkin
County. She was a lifetime member of Mt. Olive Baptist
Church.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and
Estelle Peck, her husband, Thomas E. Kidd, her son, Donald
P. Kidd and infant daughter, Yvonne E. Kidd.

Ruth was survived by her Brother and Sister-in-law; Owen
Peck and Mary Halford Peck; Daughter and Son-in-law; Renee
Arthur and Steve Arthur; Daughter-in-law; Mary Stells Kidd;
Grandchildren, Adrienne Kidd, Jeremy Kidd, Meaghan Arthur
and Chelsea Arthur.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July
1, 2009 at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.
The Rev. Charles Buice and the Rev. Dean Bryant will
officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday June 30, 2009 at the
Mason & Ward Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
The body will lie in state at the church Wednesday from
10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour.
