Greyson Laine McKnight

Mrs. Greyson Laine McKnight, age 87 of Cumming, GA, passed away at home with her family around her, Friday, July 3, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Mac" Kennon McKnight Jr. Mrs. McKnight was a member of Cumming First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children Ruth and Jack Scherer of Sharpsburg, GA; Millie McKnight of Cumming; Bill and Toni McKnight of Dawsonville; grandchildren Mary Greyson and Craig Tamburello of Birmingham, AL; Trey and Natalie Sherman of Gray Court, SC; Julie Johns of Sharpsburg, GA; Amanda and Randolph Thrower of Cumming, GA; great grandchildren; Whitney Watson age 17 of Birmingham, AL; Jake Tamburello age 8 of Birmingham, AL; Olivia and Greyson Sherman age 5 of Gray Court, SC.; Cora Thrower age 3, and Ada Thrower age 1 of Cumming, GA. A host of other relatives also survive.


Funeral services will be held Monday, July 6, at 2:00 pm at Cumming United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Preuss and Rev. John Shinall officiating. Entombment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 5, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
