Fred Ray Galloway Jr.

Fred Ray Galloway Jr., 71, of Clayton, GA, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2009.


He was born in Rabun County, GA, and was the son of Fred Ray Galloway, Sr. and Annie Mae Speed Galloway.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Verona Eller Galloway; three brothers, Floyd Galloway, Carl Galloway, William Maynard Galloway; and a sister, Lucy Cannon.


Fred is survived by a son, Tony Galloway of Clayton, GA; one daughter Kathy Sneed of Clayton, Ga; two brothers, Layton Galloway and Burnell Galloway, both of Clayton; two sisters, Dorothy Ezell and Verena Burnette. He is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.


Fred was a retired machinist in the aircraft parts manufacturing industry. He was of the Baptist faith. He was also a Past Master of Rabun Gap Masonic Lodge #265.


The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home on Friday evening, July 10, 2009 from 5 PM to 6 PM. A memorial service will be held in the Beck Funeral Home Chapel following the visitation with Rev. Larry Cannon officiating.
