Keith Douglas Simmons

Keith Douglas Simmons, age 51 of Alto, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Coliseum Medical Center.

Born in Habersham County on April 01, 1958, he was the son of Viedith Gailey Simmons and the late Lloyd Holman Simmons. He was a carpenter and member of Alto Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by grandparents, Homer & Connie Dodd and Paul & Zonie Simmons.

Surviving are daughter, Kristy Simmons and her fiancé Josh Hallford of Cornelia; sons, Nick Simmons of Cornelia and Blake Simmons of Cornelia; and mother, Viedith G. Simmons of Alto.

Funeral services are 4:00 pm Saturday, July 18, 2009, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 pm on Friday.
