Althea Ann Lacey

Mrs. Althea Ann Lacey, 55 of Gainesville (Forsyth County) died Sunday July 19, 2009 at Peachtree Christian Hospice.


A native of New Orleans, Louisana, Mrs. Lacey had lived in Forsyth County for the past 10 years. She was a graduate of Louisiana State University and a member of the First Baptist Church on Green Street.


Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 21, 2009 in the First Baptist Church Chapel on Green Street. The Rev. Bruce Fields will officiate. The family will receive friends in the church parlor Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.


Survivors include her husband, Gary Lacey, Gainesville, GA; daughters, Summer Smith, Mt. Airy, GA; Ellen Joyner, Chattanooga, TN, Rachel Early, Chatsworth, GA., Son, Gary Lacey, Jr., Chattanooga, TN, Mother, Helen Fitch, Louisiana; Grandchildren; Kailie, Brandon, Emily, Sylvia, Naudia, Kyland, Ethan, Gary III and Sidney. Mrs. Lacey is preceded in death by her father,John Fitch.


In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Stephen Ministry, % First Baptist Church 751 Green Street, Gainesville, Georgia 30501.
