William E. Wilkinson

William E. Wilkinson, 82, of Cumming, GA was received by Jesus on July 19, 2009 at Embracing Hospice House. The son of the late Peter and Mary Wilkinson, he was born in Dundee, Scotland on March 12, 1927.


Mr. Wilkinson served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a professional truck driver. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Cumming.


A loving husband, father and PaPa, Mr. Wilkinson is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Frances Wilkinson of Cumming, GA; children, Kevin Wilkinson, Terri Palmer, Kimberly Borsodi and Randy Wilkinson; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 23, 2009 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Bob Jolly and the Rev. Dr. Jim Dwiggins will officiate. Interment will follow on Friday, July 24, 2009 at the Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 from 6:00 â
