Naomi Allison Haynes

Funeral services for Naomi Allison Haynes, age 86, of Gainesville, will be held at 11:00 a.m. July 23,2009 in Trinity United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday July 22, 2009 at the funeral home. The Rev. Jimmy Moor and Rev. Don Underwood will officiate.


Mrs. Haynes was a native of Green County and had lived in Eatonton before moving to Hall County where she lived most of her life. Mrs. Haynes met Ray, her late husband, at Brookton School, they dated four years and married February 21,1947. Ray died March 8,2001; they were married 54 years.


Mrs. Haynes belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church since 1947. She graduated from Young Harris College and the University of Georgia. She taught at Brookton School and Wauka Mountain School.


Mrs. Haynes is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Jim and C.J. Haynes and Mike and Sandra Haynes, of Gainesville; her grandchildren, Jordan Haynes, Abby Haynes, Audrey and her husband Jeremy Rassel, Hank and his fiancee, Lindsey Watson, Nick Haynes, Justin and Shanda Lott, Angie and David Coker and Adam Courson; great-grandchildren Tyler and Lilly Rassel, Drew and Reece Coker, and a number of nieces and nephews.
