James H. Green

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of James H. Green, age 88, of Maysville, who passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Mr. Green, born in Forsyth County, was a son of the late, Osmar and Mae Terry Green. He worked as a sheet metal worker and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union and the Tucker Lodge. Mr. Green was an Army Veteran of World War II; and a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

Survivors include his wife, Monteen Garmon Green of Maysville. Daughter, Teresa Cain of Maysville. Son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Connie Green of Monroe. Grandchildren: Tracy Dicara and Kelly Cain. Great grandchildren: Michael Hammett, Danielle Mundy, and Dalton Dicara. Great great grandchildren: Waylon Hammett and Hayden Hammett. Sisters: Harriette Cabe and Genia Green.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Friday, July 24, 2009 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Tucker.
