Merlin J. Stewart

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Merlin James Edward Stewart, age 70, of Commerce, who passed away on Monday, August 3, 2009. Mr. Stewart, born in Hall County, was a son of the late, Raymond and Evia Campbell Stewart. He was a retired brick mason, a member of White Plains Baptist Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran.

Survivors include his sister, Linda Lee of Commerce. Brothers: Robert Stewart of Jefferson, Ronnie Stewart of Carrolton, and Gary Stewart of Buford; several nieces and nephews.

The body was cremated and private family services will be held at a later date.
