Katie Broom Cochran

Obituary Date: Sunday, August 9, 2009
Katie Broome Cochran, 89, of Gainesville, went on to be with the Lord at 1:37 a.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2009, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mrs. Cochran was born on November 9, 1919 and was a lifelong resident of Hall County. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother. She was a faithful and wonderful Christian and a member of Evangel Assembly of God. She was the daughter of the late Emory & Thersey Broome and was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Medford J. Cochran and infant son W.C. Joseph Cochran; and several brothers and sister.

Mrs. Cochran is survived by several brothers and sisters, Emory & Ethel Broome, Jr., J.C. Broome, Luther & Anna Broome, Rev. Alvin & Martha Loggins, Ruben & Louise Maldonado, and Lila Gaines. She is also survived by her sons Larry, Lawrence and Wayne Cochran, her daughters and son-in-laws Betty Mae Smith, Elizabeth & Wayne Maness, Elaine & Horace Threlkeld, Bobbie & Doug Glenn, Susan & Alan Page, Judy & Mike Reid, Sharon & Billy Marsingill, her grandchildren Toni Higgins, Jackie Monego, Pam & Dwayne Allen, Danny & April Cochran, Luke & Connie Cochran, Jeff Cochran, Blaine & Tara Cochran, Bo Cochran, John Cochran, Lawrence & Shirley Vaughan, Tim Vaughan, Shannon Moran, Misty Moran, Tammie Grizzle, Tina Redmond, Chris & Jan Threlkeld, Ronnie & Michelle Threlkeld, Amie & Mike Moon, Tracy & Rebecca Page, Sean Greenway, Chad & Melissa Greenway, Betty Elaine & Michael McDuffie, Tiffany & Rusty Gibson, Billy Ty Marsingill. She is too survived by 42 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren.
