Patricia Marie Kane

Funeral Mass for Patricia Marie Kane, age 76, of Cornelia, will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at 2:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Fr. Abel Guerrero Orta will officiate with burial to follow the service in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.

Mrs. Kane passed away Saturday, August 15, 2009, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Jamaica, New York on October 8, 1932, Mrs. Kane was the daughter of the late George and Genevieve Ferri Donovan. She was a retired Unit Clerk with Somerset County Hospital in New Jersey. Mrs. Kane was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband Thomas Kane of Cornelia, Patricia Kane Cheah of Lake Forest, California, Barbara Kane Sullivan of Huntington Beach, California, Teresa Kane of Milford, New Jersey, Nancy Kane Allen of Keedysville, Maryland, and Linda Kane of Flagtown, New Jersey, sons Thomas J. Kane of Walnut Creek, California and Michael Kane of Poquoson, Virginia, brother Walter Donovan and sister Barbara D. Keelen both of Clarkesville, as well as five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 5495 Highway 197 S. Clarkesville, on Monday, August 17, 2009 from 7-9 PM.
