Donald Harold Swan

Donald Swan, age 60, of Buckeye Trails Drive, Commerce, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Northlake Baptist Church. Mr. Swan will lie in state at the church from 1:30 to 2:00 pm prior to the funeral. Dr. Tony Smith and Dr. Brian Stowe will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home North-Riverside Chapel.

Mr. Swan was born on April 17, 1949 to the late Harold and Margaret Swan in Toledo, OH. Don loved his Lord, Jesus Christ, his family, and his friends. Mr. Swan came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at Northlake Baptist Church in 1992. Don served at Northlake as a Sunday school teacher, and as a Deacon. He loved people and desired to make a difference in as many peopleâ
