Susie Ardillia Elliott Garrison Thomas

Susie Ardillia Elliott Garrison Thomas, age 79, of Gainesville and formerly of Alto, GA, died Monday, September 07, 2009 at a private care facility.

Mrs. Thomas was born on November 15, 1929 in Jackson County, Georgia to the late Noah Cisero and Dovie Cordelia Elliott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Rev. Erford Garrison and Walter Thomas, her brothers, Conelway Elliott, Clyde Elliott, and Rama Elliott, her sister, Viola Elliott and infant sister, Icee Elliott, her step-mother, Cordy Elliott, as well as an infant half brother, Estees Elliott, and an infant half-sister, Estella Elliott. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law: Quetta and Brian Watson, California; her step-daughter: Barbara McClure, Cleveland, GA; her son and daughter-in-law: Lamar and Martha Burgess, Gainesville, GA; her sister: Myrtle Sisk, Cleveland, GA; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous step-children and step-grandchildren and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Garry Garrison officiating. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the South Chapel from 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
