Dorothy H. (Turner) Alexander

Dorothy H. (Turner) Alexander passed away at the age of 84 at the Westwood Health Care Nursing Home in Fort Walton Beach Florida on Thursday, September 17, 2009 after a long battle with cancer.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Thomas E. Alexander, three children; son and his wife Gary and Jeanine Alexander, daughter Elizabeth Masseth, and son Ricky Gene Alexander, six grandchildren; Cora and husband Dan Vollmar, Stephanie Masseth, Nicole Celeste Alexander, Leah Gayle Alexander, Thomas Jakob Harrelson, and John Kaleb Harrelson, and three great grandchildren; Justin Thomas Vollmar, Dalton Gene Vollmar, and Devontae Lamar Alexander. Dorothy is also survived by her siblings; Vernell Tanner, Montine Evens, AV Turner and his wife Julia, and sister-in-law Elizabeth Loudermilk.

Visitation and Memorial services will be held at the Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA 30504. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 24, 2009 from 6-8 pm. Friday, September 25, 2009, Memorial service will begin at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in the Whitehall Baptist Church Cemetery in Lula.
