J. Stanley Welborn

J. Stanley Welborn, age 53, of Clarkesville, GA passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009.



Mr. Welborn was born in Kokomo, Indiana on March 16, 1956. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pernell Taylor Welborn and half brother, Donnie Joe Welborn. Mr. Welborn was a United States Army Veteran having served our Country for 8 years. He also was a Special Education School Bus driver, for the Habersham County School System.



Survivors include his wife, Christel Love Welborn, Clarkesville, GA; father, Joseph L. Welborn, Clarkesville, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Shannon and Paul Cruz, LaGrange, GA, Naomi Welborn, Fort Myers, FL, Cherri Keller Hope, Clarkesville, GA and Kristina Welborn, Fort Myers, FL; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Ginny Keller, Kokomo, IN, Shane and Meredith Welborn, Fort Myers, FL; Rick Keller, Clarkesville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Rodney Green, Fort Myers, FL; sister, Mary Sanders, Clarkesville, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Terri Welborn, Clarkesville, GA, Dewayne and Janice Welborn, Clarkesville, GA and Randy and Juanita Welborn, Lake Whales, FL; 12 grandchildren, Blake, Raychel, Angil, Masin, Naomi, A.J., Lyndsey, Alyze, Elizabeth, Hayley, Cole, and Aliyah.



Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Uncle Paul Bryson officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Habersham County American Legion Post #84, the Grant Reeves V.F.W. post #7720 and the Rabun County D.A.V. Chapter #15.



The family will receive friends at the North Chapel from 3 p.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday.
