Troy H. Owens

Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Troy H. Owens, 76, of Nicholson, who died at his residence on Sunday evening.


Born in Franklin County, GA, he was the son of the late Edgar and Anna Payne Owens. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Penny Owens Mann and a brother, Harold Owens. He was married to Ruth Henson Owens of the residence and was retired from Westinghouse.


Survivors, along with his wife, include daughters Troyce Ann (William) Pawlowski of Colbert and Barbara O. (David) Elrod of Diamond Hill Community; brother and sisters Susie Sumner, Alberta Santmyers, Van (Lee) Williams and Bill (Jean) Owens, all of Carnesville; son-in-law Marty Mann of Danielsville; grandchildren Melanie Elrod Masters, Melissa Elrod and Dylan Mann.


Funer services for Troy H. Owens will be conducted Wednesday, October 7 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
