Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Linda Jan Mendoza, age 71 of Sautee. Mrs. Mendoza passed away Thursday, October 8, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 11, 2009 from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Crowe officiating
Mrs. Mendoza was born in Columbus, Georgia on September 25, 1938 to Paul Brush and Elizabeth Preddy Brush. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and was noted for establishing the first personal care home on Georgia. She is preceded in death by her husbands Joseph Howard Weakley and Mac Mendoza. Mrs. Mendoza attended the Rock of Cleveland
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, John Cris & Debra Weakley of Sautee, son, David Weakley, Sautee; daughter in law, Kathy Weakly; grandchildren, Brandi & Christopher Weakly, David & Lesia Weakley, Jamie & J.P.Weakly, Billy Weakley and Amanda Nix
Great grandchildren, Hayden and Isaac Weakley
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 to 8 PM
