Tommy L. Hatcher

Mr. Tommy L. Hatcher, age 74, of Dahlonega, GA died Friday October 9, 2009 at the Gold City Convalescent Center in Dahlonega.


Mr. Hatcher was a native and former resident of Hall County who had lived in Lumpkin County since 1997. He was retired from Milton Martin Toyota and was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church in Hall County.


He was the son of the late O.L. and Adell Underwood Hatcher and was also preceded in death by his wives, Sarah Hatcher and Ruby Crowe Hatcher; brothers, Perry Hatcher and Johnny Hatcher.


Tommy is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Lee Moore, Flowery Branch, GA; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and Larry Reeves, Demorest, GA; granddaughter, Dana Loggins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy Hatcher, Gainesville, GA, Benny and Maxine Hatcher, Gainesville, GA, Jerry and Peggy Hatcher, Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Bea Moss, Dawsonville, GA, Eula and Gene Parker, Murrayville, GA, Ellen England, Gainesville, GA, Helen and Floyd Tanner, Dawsonville, GA, Joyce and Clifton Chester, Dawsonville, GA, Patsy and Mike Sherwood, Murrayville, GA, Joanne and Upton Abercrombie, Murrayville, GA. A number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.


Funeral services for Mr. Hatcher are scheduled for 3:30 PM Sunday October 11, 2009 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega with Rev. Ricky Stone and Rev. Dean Bryant officiating.


Interment will follow in the Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Hall County.


The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Saturday from 6 PM until 9 PM.
