Irene Farmer Lord

Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 25, 2009 in Alta Vista Cemetery for Irene Farmer Lord, age 87, of Gainesville. The Rev. Peggy Wages will officiate. Burial will be in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 24rth from 3-5pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Lord passed away on Thursday, October 22nd at Willow Wood Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Lord was born November 6, 1921 in Hall County to the late James Fletcher Farmer and Frances Maudie Merck Farmer. She was a homemaker and the last living member of her family. She is preceded in death by her brothers & sisters Ben Farmer; Guy Farmer; Fletcher Farmer; Fred Farmer; Paul Farmer; Herbert Farmer; Myrtie Farmer; Pearl Farmer; Willie Mae Farmer; Jane Farmer; and Gladys Farmer.

Mrs. Lord is survived by a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
