Anna Alene Chaffin

Mrs. Anna Aliene Chaffin , 93, of Cookeville, TN, passed away Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009, just two weeks before her 94th birthday. She lived the last two years of her life in Cleveland, GA with her daughter and family. Anna Aliene Dudney was born on November 27th, 1915, to Alec Cowan & Sarah Francis Pippin Dudney in Jackson County, TN, in the Shiloh Community. The Nashville, TN area claimed her for over 40 years of her adult life before she returned to the land and the people that always drew her back. She always made time to care for and to help those who needed her and those she loved. She would go without herself, if need be, so she could give to someone else. She loved flowers and making things grow, but what she cherished most in her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She brought great joy into the lives of everyone who experienced her laughter and the sparkle in her eyes. Her smile could, and did, light up our universe. Mrs. Chaffin is survived by her daughter, Mara Majors Joyce , son-in law, Edward W. Joyce; granddaughter, Brina Anjanette Joyce; grandsons: Jarrett Bruce Joyce and Keith Brett Joyce; Keithâ
