Jay Strickland

Jay Strickland, 56, of Cumming, GA passed away on Monday, November 9, 2009. The son of the late Jimmy and Shirley Strickland, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Marion and Kim Strickland; in-laws, Ralph and Mary Thornton; and sister-in-law, Rhonda Christensen.

Jay was an avid hunter, golfer, pool shooter and member of APA. He loved taking trips on his Harley Davidson with his wife, Becky, and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Becky Strickland of Cumming, GA; daughters, Micki (Joey) Plaza of PA and Brittany Strickland of Cumming, GA; granddaughter, Lexi Plaza of PA; sister-in-law, Beth Mayo and children, Mark, Daniel, Laura and Megan of Gainesville, GA; sister, Judy (Frank) Foy of Wilmington, NC; brother, Alan Strickland of Charlotte, NC; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 13, 2009 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home with Rev. David McGee, Rev. Ruel Martin and Chad Wilson officiating.
