Ernest Jack Bryant

Ernest Jack Bryant, age 80 of White Sulphur Road, Gainesville, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Scott Holtzclaw will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 12:00 noon until funeral hour of 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Bryant was born July 21, 1929 in Hall County, Georgia to the late Lonnie Bryant and Sally Watson Bryant. He served in the U.S. Army, later retired from Philyaw Construction Company as a foreman and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, James, L.B., Jack, Cecil and Byron Bryant, his sisters, Bea Pethel, Pauline Lang, Blondine Love and Brenda Gee.

Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Wilma Lurlene Bryant, his children, Judy Patterson of Gainesville, Kathy & Tony Scroggs and Oakwood, Linda Bryant of Gainesville and Roger & Annette Bryant of Dawsonville, grandchildren, Stacy Porter, Randi & Tatum Scroggs and Ashton Bryant, great-grandchildren, Beau & Wake Porter, and a number of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eagle Ranch, 5500 Union Church Road, Flowery Branch, Georgia 30542.
