Sula T. Webber

Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Mrs. Sula T. Webber, 79, of Commerce who died early Friday morning at the Athens Regional Medical Center. She was born in Tattnall County and was married to the Rev. John Webber, former pastor for many years of the Commerce Church of God. Mrs. Webber was a minister herself having also served alongside her husband as they pastored several churches over the years. She was also a seamstress, a retail sales manager and a housewife. Survivors, along with her husband, include a daughter, Valerie Dawn (John) Massey of Commerce; a sister, Sally Anderson of Savannah; and two grandchildren, Michael Beck and Carly Jade Massey. Funeral services for Mrs. Webber will be conducted on Sunday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with Revs. Bryan S. Webber, Damon Davis and Gary Thompson officiating. A graveside service and interment will be conducted on Monday at 1 p.m. from the Harden Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Lyons, GA. The family will receive friends at Ivie Funeral Home on Saturday from 5-8 p.m. and at other times at the home of John and Valerie Massey; 124 Andrew Jackson St. in Commerce. Pallbearers, along with several honorary pallbearers will be Michael Beck, Michael Kitchens, David Adams, Tony Webber, Tommy Slater and Stevie Brock.
