Mrs. Miriam N. Carlan, age 77, of Greensboro, GA died December 2, 2009 at Greene Point Healthcare in Union Point, GA.

Mrs. Carlan was born in Barrow County, GA July 27, 1932. She had lived in Greene County for the past 12 years and was a former resident of Gainesville, GA. She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.

She was the daughter of the late John Lewis Newsom and Rubye Skinner Newsom and was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Harrison F. â
