Carol Dean Smith

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Little & Davenport Chapel for Mrs. Carol Dean Smith of Gainesville. The Rev. Dr. Tom Smiley and the Rev. Dr. Jerry Gill will officiate. Visitation will be at Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from Interment will follow in New Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery.



The daughter of the late Frederick Mack and Mamie McDonald Gowder, she was a native of Hall County. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Smith, three brothers, 12 sisters and step son Calvin Smith.



Survivors include her step daughter and her husband, Mildred and Lawton Tilley of Gainesville, stepson, Donald Smith of Gainesville stepson and his wife, Billy and Elizabeth Smith of Gainesville, and sister, Eulene Thurmond of Gainesville.
