Ila Mae Crane Haney, age 86, of Clarkesville, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010, at Habersham County Medical Center.
Born in Habersham County, on July 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Pearl Sosebee Crane. Mrs. Haney was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and yard work. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Haney; brothers, Wesley, Doc, Marvin and Tom Crane and sister, Elizabeth Crane.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Grady Smith of Clarkesville; daughter, Kathy Haney of Clarkesville; nephews and wives, Steve and Debbie Crane and Tony and Elizabeth Crane all of Clarkesville; niece and husband, Diane and Guy Jones of Mableton; she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Memorial services are 11:30 am Friday, January 15, 2010, from the McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Chapel with Dr. Kenneth Franklin officiating.
