Edna Ruth Newell Emory, age 92, of Buford, died Friday, January 15, 2010. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 2:30 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Sherry Morrison will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens, Buford. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 1:00 PM until time of service. Ms. Emory is survived by her daughters, Linda and Charles Topping, Calhoun, Ann Triviette, Buford; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, John Bennett Newell and Christine, Virginia.
Ms Emory was a native of Greensboro, NC and lived in the metro Atlanta area the past 25 years. She was a retired supervisor in the auto parts industry, a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Norcross and a former member of First Lutheran Church, Greensboro, NC where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school.
